A foundation course for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test and state teacher eligibility tests. It builds the sections that every teaching exam asks about, with short lessons, worked examples and quick checks. What you will cover: • Child development and learning: Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, learning theories, intelligence, motivation and inclusive education • Pedagogy and assessment: teaching methods, formative and summative assessment, the RTE Act, the NEP 2020 school structure and classroom management • Mathematics: number system, geometry, measurement and data, nature of mathematics, errors and remedial teaching • Environmental studies and science: content and pedagogy, the scientific method, life science and physics basics • Language pedagogy: acquisition and learning, the four skills, unseen passages, grammar and evaluation Pattern note: the CBSE information bulletin for CTET lists two papers, each of 150 multiple choice questions of one mark, to be done in two and a half hours, with no negative marking. Paper I (Classes I to V) has Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, each with 30 questions. Paper II (Classes VI to VIII) has Child Development and Pedagogy (30), Language I (30), Language II (30) and either Mathematics and Science (60) or Social Studies and Social Science (60). State TETs have their own notifications, so read the notification of the test that you plan to take. This course states no dates, vacancies or cut-offs. Each of the 5 chapters has a practice test that draws 10 fresh questions per attempt from a tagged bank of 20, with unlimited retakes.
