A target course for railway recruitment exams (RRB NTPC, Group D, Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician). It assumes that you know the basics and trains speed, accuracy and judgement. Take it after Railway Foundation or when you are in the last months before the exam. What you will cover: • Arithmetic speed: the percentage and fraction table, successive changes and discounts, alligation, partnership and compound interest shortcuts • Mixed mathematics: mensuration shortcuts, algebra word problems, heights and distances, tables and graphs, remainders and number properties • Reasoning speed: series, coding patterns, syllogism and Venn shortcuts, directions, ranking, assumptions and decision making • Basic science and engineering as listed for the ALP second stage: units and density, work, power and machines, heat, basic electricity, engineering drawing, safety, environment and IT literacy • General awareness revision: culture and monuments, science and space, economy and governance terms, organisations and abbreviations • Exam strategy: the stages and patterns read from the official notices, one third negative marking and guessing, time plans, mock analysis and the error log, and a last month plan The patterns in the strategy chapter come from the notices of CEN 06/2026 (NTPC), CEN 08/2024 (Group D), CEN 02/2025 (Technician) and CEN 01/2025 (ALP). They can change, so read the official notice of your own exam. The course does not state dates, vacancies or cut-offs. Each of the 6 chapters has a practice test that draws 10 fresh questions per attempt from a tagged bank of 20, with unlimited retakes.
