A target course for UPSC Prelims aspirants who have read the subjects and now need technique. It covers how to link the news to the static syllabus, how to handle statement and matching questions, the basics of the CSAT paper and a plan for marks, time and mocks. What you will cover: • Static and current linkage: turning a news item into a static topic, schemes, reports and indices, international organisations • Question technique: multiple statement questions, elimination, pair and map matching • CSAT basics: comprehension, logical reasoning and basic numeracy • Strategy for the paper: negative marking and risk, mocks and revision, and the pattern from the official notice Pattern note: the UPSC notice for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 lists two objective papers of 200 marks each of two hours, with General Studies Paper II qualifying at 33 per cent and a penalty of one third for each wrong answer. This course does not state dates, vacancies, cut-offs or the number of questions per paper. Read the notice of your year at upsc.gov.in. Each of the 4 chapters has a practice test that draws 10 fresh questions per attempt from a tagged bank of 20, with unlimited retakes.
