CBSE Private Candidate Registration 2026-27: Class 10 and 12

CBSE has opened online exam forms for private candidates who will write the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in February–April 2027.

Who can apply

Candidates declared Essential Repeat / Fail in 2021–2026.
Compartment candidates of 2026 (for the compartment subject).
Improvement of performance: passed in 2026 and want to improve one or more subjects.
Students who completed the course but could not appear due to shortage of attendance (subject to CBSE conditions).

Fees (India)

₹320 per subject; late fee ₹2,000 per candidate on top. Only one online form per candidate; a valid email is needed for OTP. Photo and signature as JPG under 40 KB.

Study tip

The syllabus is the one prescribed for the 2027 exam year, so revise against the current curriculum, not your old notes. Start with the chapters that carried the most marks in your last attempt.
